This stone is raised west of central Tranemo along the road between Tranemo and Svenljunga (today road 156) at the approach road to the old homestead Normanslid.

This means:  "Asur satte denne sten efter Amund, sin broder. (In English: Asur placed this stone after [in memory of] Amund, his brother.)".
