Three Tall Men - the Kings of Norway, Sweden and Denmark in 1914 Trekungamötet (the Three King Meeting) 18th - 19th of December 1914 in Malmö, Sweden. From left to right: Haakon VII of Norway, Gustaf V of Sweden and Christian X of Denmark. Haakon VII was brother to Christian X. Their grandfather on the female side was Karl XV, king of Sweden and Norway 1859 - 1872, so all three kings were relatives in some way. This meeting, in which also the foreign ministers of the three countries attended, came at the initiative of the Swedish king, and was a manifestation of Nordic solidarity and neutrality in the time of World War I.
