Lycke Church in Bohuslän

  Lycke Church

Lycke is a parish in the municipality of Kungälv on the Swedish west coast.
The church carried originally the name "Carl Ludvig Eugene Church" and was inaugurated in 1827. The great herring period had made an older church on the same place too small. The main advocates of building a larger church was the landlord  Kihlman of Tofta Mansion  and the dean Sivertsson. The parish had problems with several structural weaknesses of the church. These problems are however solved today.

Lycke belongs to the Diocese of Göteborg (Gothenburg), the County of Västra Götaland and the Province of Bohuslän. Photo: Lars Henriksson, 27th of May, 2008.
