Solberga Church in Bohuslän

  Solberga Church

Solberga church is a parish church in the small village Solberga near Kode belonging to the municipality of Kungälv. The oldest part of Solberga church was built in the 12th century. The place where the church is located was probably once a place where things were held. The first church building lacked tower. However, there was a bell tower besides the church. The first tower was built first in the 17th century. The present church is from 1867. In 1926 a radical conversion was made that gave the church its current appearance. Since the church was small a cross-arm was built to the north. Also a sacristy was built.

The pulpit and the altarpiece are both from the 17th century.
