Saint Maria
Church, Idenor, Hälsingland

The medieval church at Idenor in Hälsingland is devoted to Saint
Maria (Saint Mary). It belongs to the parish Hudiksvall-Idenor
parish.
The church was built in the end of the 12th century or the beginning
of the 13th. It is a typical medieval church, but has been
completed with two stellar vaults,
vestry and porch.
The church owns a beautiful bridal crown in
partially gilded silver from the early 18th century.
The vestry is decorated with paintings by
Paul Hallberg from 1772.
Idenor belongs to the
municipality
of Hudiksvall, the Diocese of Uppsala,
the County of Gävleborg and the Province of Hälsningland. Photo:
