  Hälsingtuna Church, Hälsingland

The oldest parts of the church orginate from the 12th century. Until the 15th century the church had one tower in each end. In the mentioned century the east tower was pulled down and the church was extended in the same direction. The sacristy in the east was built around 1840.

The exterior is characterized by the high tower. It is one of the few preserved towers at medieval churches in the province of Hälsingland.

In the long house walls fragments of lime paintings can be seen. These are probably from the 14th century.

The pulpit dates back to 1665 and altar to 1680. These are carried out in baroque style and came back to the church during a renovation in 1947.

In the church are several wood carvings, including a triumph crucifix from the mid-1200's and a saint cabinet with St. Nikolaus.

Outside the church, there are two rune stones, one (Hälsingtunastenen) is probably the largest in Sweden.
