Henry Kjellson of FVM designed this successor to S 18 in 1921. Ten
aircraft, all powered with 260 hp Maybach engine were built at Malmen.
Another ten were ordered 1924, but the contract was changed and the
aircraft were delivered first in 1926-27 as the improved type S 25.

21 # 4214 was used as flying ambulance in Lapland for some years. Photos
from unknown newspaper 1926. Note the fire on the frozen lake. The smoke
informed the pilot of the wind direction. |
