a wartime airfield. This aircraft was ex. USAAF 44-64059 and was later sold
to Israel. |

The first Mustang in the Swedish Air Force, # 26001. It
carries the markings as White D (David) of Wing F 16.
It original American designation was P-51B-5-NA and carried the USAAF
serial 43-6365. It made an emergency landing at Rinkaby in the south of
Sweden on the 13th of May 1944 after a combat mission
near Stettin. Photo
