A JA 37 Viggen, once in service as code number 20 of Air Force Wing F 16 in Uppsala. Here seen in April 2005 at the Fire and Rescue Training site at "F 14" in Halmstad. The badge behind the glass hood shows us that the aircraft belonged to the 2nd (blue) Squadron. This Viggen had probably the Air Force number 37420.

The passenger aircraft is an ex-Romanian
BAC 111. This aircraft got severe damages in a hard landing at Arlanda, the international airport of Stockholm, in 1997. The wreck was transported to Halmstad in 2001 to be used by the Fire and Rescue Training School of the Air Force. The school used the grounds of the former Air Force Wing F 14 at Halmstad, established in 1944.

F 14 was from the beginning one of the bomb/attack units of the Swedish Air Force. It became more and more concentrated on education. In 1972, the name was changed to Flygvapnets Halmstadsskolor (F 14) - ("the Halmstad Schools of the Air Force [F 14]"). Today it is used for education of officers from all parts of the Swedish Armed Forces. The official name is the Military Academy Halmstad, MHS S.
