The Coat of Arms of the Wing was never used on any aircraft

The first squadron insignias of F 1 was introduced in 1943 and painted on the B 3 bombers. This wild buffalo was used by the 3rd Squadron. The 1st Sq used a standing bear and the 2nd Sq a rhino as symbol.

When the J 30 Mosquito night fighter was used by F 1, Squadron insignia was painted on the crew door on the port side of the aircraft. The 1st Squadron used this black bat in front of a cloud.
