| Queen Silvia and King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden - meeting between two
moving trains On the 14th of August, 2005, our family took the beautiful narrow-gauge railway between Hultsfred and Västervik in the Swedish province Småland. On the same day, our King and Queen were going to attend a jubilee at Ankarsrum. Our shining orange-and-yellow vintage rail bus stopped at the station at Ankarsrum to wait for the royal train. A band was playing at the station and a lot of people were waiting for the guests. After a while our train began to roll, and just outside the platform we met the royal train, pulled by a steam engine. And there she sat, Queen Silvia, showing her well-known gracious smile. The King sat to the left of her. You can se a part of his face. To the right, an Air Force officer was putting his cap on his head.
